Beijing Live have the pleasure to announce the participation of 32 artists from besides China also Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, India, Iraq, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States.

From October 14 to 23, 2016, the artists will unfold a diverse and eclectic program presenting different expressions and tendencies in contemporary performance art at the Danish Cultural Centre, with accompanying lectures and film screening at Goethe Institut in Beijing’s iconic 798 Art District.

”Presenting a program with artists of different generations, from younger and emerging talents to internationally established artists and even renown legends, will give Beijing Live the energy and vitality to become an event that stands out”, says curator, director and founder of Beijing Live Jonas Stampe, who continues ”It is a great pleasure that out of all the invited artists, some historic personalities have accepted our invitation. One such artist is Huang Rui, one of the pioneers of Chinese contemporary art. Another is the co-founder of Fluxus Alison Knowles from New York. A third is Nigel Rolfe, professor in performance art at the Royal College of Art in London. These artists expresses Beijing Live’s curatorial direction, showcasing not only high quality, but further connecting artists already belonging to the history of performance art and those soon to be, like Danish artist Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen.”
